Junior Clubs

Junior Clubs in your area The Junior youth Club service is organised by the (Newcastle &) North Staffs Play Council for the young people in the Borough of Newcastle -under-Lyme and North Staffordshire in the age range 4 - 16 years includes any with special needs. This provision is staffed solely by volunteers, usually recruited from within there own community.

Junior Club offer to young people?

  • Provides a relaxed and informal setting to have fun and make new friends
  • Extends education and gives opportunities to practice new skills
  • Helps to develop relationships with their piers and with adults
  • Relieves boredom and frustration Helps children to become independent and responsible
  • Junior Club helps to keep children off the streets, giving them a place of their own, and therefore helping to reduce vandalism in the community

Junior Club offer to adults and students?

  • A chance to do something that will be of benefit within their own community
  • A sense of satisfaction that they are helping and passing on skills to children
  • An opportunity to form relationships with children and other adults, make new friends and have fun doing so
  • Training opportunities which may include National Vocational Qualifications
