| Junior Clubs in your area |
The
Junior youth Club service is organised by the (Newcastle &) North
Staffs Play Council for the young people in the Borough of Newcastle
-under-Lyme and North Staffordshire in the age range 4 - 16 years includes
any with special needs. This provision is staffed solely by volunteers,
usually recruited from within there own community.
Junior Club offer to young people?
- Provides a relaxed and informal setting to have fun and make new
friends
- Extends education and gives opportunities to practice new skills
- Helps to develop relationships with their piers and with adults
- Relieves boredom and frustration Helps children to become
independent and responsible
- Junior Club helps to keep children off the streets, giving them a
place of their own, and therefore helping to reduce vandalism in the
community
Junior Club offer to adults and students?
- A chance to do something that will be of benefit within their own
community
- A sense of satisfaction that they are helping and passing on skills
to children
- An opportunity to form relationships with children and other adults,
make new friends and have fun doing so
- Training opportunities which may include National Vocational
Qualifications
